BACKGROUND

The Compassionate Alliance launched in May 2026, beginning with two state-based branches – The Compassionate Alliance South Australia and The Compassionate Alliance Victoria – with the aim of developing a model that is useful and transferable internationally.

TCA is led by a collaborative group of organisations passionate about strengthening the ways that organisations engage with the Compassionate Communities approach:
Palliative Care South Australia, Palliative Care Victoria, Carers SA, Carers  Victoria, and Flinders University. The project is funded by The Wicking Trust, managed by Equity Trustees Limited.
